Every year, Misha Bhatia Sikka, who hails from Philadelphia, USA, travels to Faridabad to play the iconic role of Kaikeyi in the city’s annual Ramleela. Born in Faridabad, Misha is not only an accomplished performer but also a cultural ambassador, introducing Indian traditions through bhajans and classical music across various cities in the United States.  

A resident of NIT-1 in Faridabad, Misha has earned six postgraduate degrees in music. Besides singing, she is also a talented actress and has participated in prestigious events such as the Closeup Music Awards. She is married to Manik Sikka, a software engineer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After their marriage, she moved to the United States, where she gained American citizenship and began participating in cultural and musical events across the country.  

Through her performances in religious and social programs, Misha introduces Americans to Indian culture. Her bhajans and classical music presentations have garnered appreciation for their depth and authenticity.  

Misha’s mother, Renu Bhatia, is the Chairperson of the Haryana Women’s Commission. Misha reveals that her association with Ramleela began in her early years when she played the role of Sita in Shraddha Ramleela. Since her marriage, she has returned to India every year to portray the character of Kaikeyi in Ramleela.  

Her powerful performance as Kaikeyi has earned her accolades, including an award from the renowned RK Studio in Mumbai for breathing life into the character.  

Misha Bhatia’s dedication to Indian culture and her role in Ramleela stand as a testament to her love for her roots, despite living thousands of miles away in the United States.
