Police Party Attacked While Trying to Pacify a Dispute Between Two Groups, Uniform Torn

Four Policemen Injured, Case Filed Against Accused Family

Faridabad: A dispute broke out between two groups in Jawan village on Monday. When a police team arrived to resolve the conflict, they were attacked by one of the groups. Four policemen were injured in the attack, and one officer’s uniform was torn.

Chhainsa police station has registered a case against the accused family and started an investigation.

Constable Saleem Khan stated that on Monday, they received information via ERV 170 about a fight between two groups in Jawan village, involving stone-pelting and firebombs.

Acting on the information, constables Neeraj and Sunil, along with driver Yogesh, reached the location in a government vehicle. Upon arrival, they noticed significant stone-pelting in the area.

The accused—Rambabu, his sons Harsh and Harshit, and Harshit’s wife Rajesh—were seen standing behind their house gate with stones in hand.

When the police asked them to come out and talk, the accused allegedly threatened the officers, warning them not to enter, claiming it was their property. As soon as the police team moved forward, Rambabu and his son allegedly attacked them.

Following the attack, another ERV vehicle arrived at the scene. Driver Vijaypal was also injured in the incident.

The police sent the accused—Rambabu and his two sons—to a government hospital for treatment.

It is alleged that Rambabu, along with his sons and daughter-in-law, obstructed police duties and attempted to assault the officers with the intent to kill, even tearing an officer’s uniform.

Meanwhile, another complaint by Rajiv led to a case against Rambabu and his family.

According to Rajiv, Rambabu is his elder brother, who has allegedly encroached on his house and land.

He claimed that the accused forcibly evicted his wife, children, and father from their home and took control of the property.

The attackers allegedly used bricks, stones, and firebombs filled in glass bottles during the assault.

Both cases have been registered at Chhainsa police station.
