Faridabad: A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an OYO hotel located along the highway in the Sarai police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Chaman Lal (52), a resident of Badarpur, Delhi. He was working as an OT in-charge at a private hospital in Gurugram.
The police recovered liquor bottles and some pills from the hotel room and have launched an investigation into the matter.
Chaman Lal had taken a week-long leave from the private hospital on Monday due to his nephew’s wedding.
According to the police investigation, he had left home on Sunday morning for a salon visit but never returned. When his wife, Vandana, called him, he assured her that he would be home soon. However, he did not return that night either.
On Monday morning, hotel staff informed the police, who then arrived at the scene. The police contacted the family and informed them about the incident.
During questioning, hotel staff revealed that Chaman Lal had checked into the OYO hotel around 11 AM on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh stated that no suicide note was found at the scene, making it possible that he died of a heart attack.
The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report.
