Nominations to be filed from February 11 to 17
BJP and Congress yet to finalize candidates for seats
Faridabad: The election process for the Faridabad Municipal Corporation has officially begun. The nomination process starts today, February 11, and will continue until February 17.
However, BJP and Congress have yet to announce their candidates for the mayor and councilor positions. It is expected that candidates from local parties or independent candidates will start collecting nomination forms from today.
The municipal elections are scheduled to be held on March 2, while vote counting will take place on March 12. The nomination process for the elections has started today.
In Faridabad, the mayoral position is reserved for a general category woman candidate, and seats for the 46 wards have been categorized accordingly based on general and reserved categories.
Nomination Process & Locations
The nomination forms for the mayoral post can be collected and submitted at Sector-12 Mini Secretariat. The CEO of the District Council and District Election Officer, Satbir Singh, will provide the forms. The last date for submission is February 17.
For the 46 councilor seats, nomination forms will be available at 12 different locations based on ward divisions. The nominations will be accepted at the respective offices of Assistant Election Officers.

For this election, 46 wards have been established. As per the voter list released on January 6, there are 14,70,666 registered voters in these wards.
The election will be conducted across 1,302 polling booths.
