Additional Buses to Be Operated for Maha Kumbh If the Number of Devotees Increases

Faridabad: The number of devotees traveling to the Maha Kumbh is increasing daily. It is estimated that the highest crowd will be seen by the end of this week.

In response, the depot may operate two additional buses on Saturday and Sunday.

The Ballabgarh Bus Depot had sent its first bus to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on January 24 at 8 AM.

However, after a stampede incident in Prayagraj, devotees had temporarily stopped traveling from the district, leading to only one morning bus operating daily. But with the anticipated rush this weekend, authorities expect a surge in travelers.

The final holy dip for the Maha Kumbh is scheduled for February 26, and devotees from the district are expected to travel for the ritual from February 13 to February 25.

Since the crowd in Prayagraj is expected to decrease, the depot is planning to introduce two to three additional buses on Saturday and Sunday to accommodate more passengers.

Depot In-Charge Bhagirath Sharma stated that additional buses are arranged as per passenger demand.

If the number of devotees remains high over the weekend, two to three extra buses will be deployed to ensure a smooth journey for all travelers participating in the holy bath.
